That happy Spring feeling is in the air and it’s at this time of year that we all get antsy to Spring clean our lives, homes and our health. 

With the thought of beautiful sunny mornings and summer days ahead everyone’s calendars are starting to full up with braais, family lunches, weddings and birthday celebrations. Weeks are busy, weekends are jam packed and it’s good to keep track of all the exciting goings on with a perfectly planned diary. 

Today we bring you some cute & colourful diary reminders for you to glue or washi tape into your diary day or on your hanging calendars. Pop one into a special persons diary too, to let them know that “I love you”.

Directions

1. Please print pages 2-3 of the downloaded document onto a white A4 card stock. 
2. Cut out the various diary reminder notes using a craft knife and ruler or a pair of scissors. 
3. Store these notes in a glass jar with your favourite washi tape or stick of glue on your desk near to your diary. {You can purchase Washi Tape from our Elephantshoe shoppe www.elephantshoe.com}
4.  As you plan your days and the events ahead stick these reminders in your diary to make it pretty and to keep you reminded of your upcoming commitments.

A DIY project for every other Wednesday : Washi Tape Wanders

HOORAY for making it half way through this week! Welcome to the first of our new posts, "A DIY project for every other Wednesday". Today we’re bringing a pretty and decorative DIY your way. We know washi tape isn’t exactly the new kid on the block in the craft world but we just can’t seem to shake our love for this amazing sticky tape! We hope to inspire you with a few cute ideas so you can see just how easy it is to use this versatile little tape. The list is endless really (and that’s just another reason why we love this stuff!).  You can purchase the ones featured in this post from our Elephantshoe online shoppe.

From sprucing up ordinary tea light candles (a great way to add some romance to the dinner table, bedroom or even bathroom), sticking inspirational pictures to your office wall, giving a boring notebook a makeover, adding a touch of YOU to your phone cover, finishing off a lovely parcel for a dear friend, to decorating some glass jars for bits and bobs. If all of those ideas still don’t inspire you buy a roll and keep it on standby because it’s just pretty to look at too!

Stripes + spots + geometric shapes = LOVE   Make an old book look brand new with your own personalised patterns.

Wrap the tops of plain wooden cutlery to bring in your chosen colours and patterns for your party.

Decembers {Santa's wrapping} "I Love You" Box

WOW, December has come and gone and we are already in our second week of January. I'm just crossing fingers and toes that 2014 doesn't fly by in the same way that 2013 did. There are many exciting things we have planned for the year ahead but before we start celebrating those I wanted to share the contents of our December "I Love you" box with you. Take a little look here

• 1 x Christmas washi tape
• 4 x kraft cards with white screen printed Christmas design 
• 4 x custom envelopes (2 x lined with a pattern + 2 x with pattern printed on the outside of the envelope)
• 1 x LOVE letterpressed card with grey lined envelope
• 5 x plain flat kraft paper bags
• 5 x flat kraft paper bags (each bag stamped with one of our Christmas stamps)
• 2 x To: & From: Kraft tags with eyelet and twine
• 1 x Christmas wooden wrapping paddle
• 5 x variety design Christmas stickers
• 2metres x red and cotton petersham ribbon
• 2 x 'Naughty OR Nice" manilla tags with twine 

We had so many fun and festive washi tapes in store this year, each box had one design included - from gold chevron, grey stripes, red snowflakes to red spots, stripes and stars. They were awesome and so useful when it came to attaching your Christmas cards & tags and wrapping up your parcels in a unique way. 

Our Kraft Christmas cards were hand screen printed here at the Elephantshoe Studio and they were accompanied with an envelope. We included a variety of envelope styles e.g grey or red large spots printed on the outside of the envelope, red or grey striped printed as a liner on the inside of the envelope.  

Each box included 5 plain kraft paper flat bags and 5 kraft bags that were each individually stamped with a variety of our Christmas stamps. 

Looking back on the festive season one of our favorite shoots was our Christmas one. It was wonderful to gather all the products and styling goodies to give the shoot a holly jolly charm. A big thank you to our 2013 intern Kathleen for helping us with all the Christmas preparation and of course to Andre from Blackframe photography. We are blessed to work with such talented and all round GREAT people.
